Birth control for squirrels? Are you kidding me?

Santa Monica, California is planning to spend 2-10 dollars of birth control vaccines on each squirrel caught. Apparenly a small percentage of squirrels may harbor the bubonic plague. Who has ever been attacked by a squirrel? For crying out loud those things don't even get close to humans. Don't you think our tax dollars could be better spent?Birth control for squirrels? Are you kidding me?
It's no joke...-%26amp; it's not really the squirrels attacking humans that the Aurthorities are concerned about. The plague is usually spread animal to animal- and dogs ESPECIALLY, love to chase squirrels. If the infected squirrels start spreading the plague to other animals- suddenly you have a really BIG problem on your hands, %26amp; that's why California wants to put them on the ';pill';. I know the idea sounds alittle ';weird';- but there IS some method to the madness.Birth control for squirrels? Are you kidding me?
no, and be glad as certain groups have been hunting these small animals down for FOOD! I can't say the group as I will get a violation from Yahoo! it happens and not to just these creatures but other small animals and birds too
The plague is transmitted by fleas. Squirrels carry the plague bacteria in their bloodstream. The flea bites the squirrel and slurps up the ifected blood. ow the flea is carrying the plague bacteria. A person walking in the area where the flea resides gets bitten by the same flea. Now the person has the plague.





So, lowering the number of squirrels does have a direct impact on the possibility of YOU contracting the black plague.
Don't Be Fooled !! It is not birth control, they put the squirrels to sleep, then house them in a big squirrel corral, THEN, they declare squirrels an endangered species, steal prime squirrel land from it's owners, get millions in grants to restore the squirrels,,,,all that's left is to drive the herd of squirrel over, declare success and forever be known as the defenders of squirrel rites...and give them the right to vote sometime down the road....
